Any IP camera with an RTSP or HTTP snapshot URL. Hikvision, Reolink, Dahua, Axis, Amcrest, Uniview, and most others. If you're not sure, contact us and we'll confirm.
Do I need to install any software? ▼
No. CamDrop is fully cloud-based. You enter your camera's stream URL in the dashboard, and we handle everything — frame capture, processing, timelapse encoding, and delivery.
What internet speed do I need on-site? ▼
CamDrop only needs to pull a JPEG snapshot every few minutes — about 1-2 Mbps upload is plenty. If you have enough bandwidth to load a web page, you're good.
How long does a timelapse run? ▼
Typical construction timelapses run 30–120 seconds and represent days, weeks, or months of footage depending on your capture interval. We optimize the speed for the most watchable result.
Can I share timelapses with my clients? ▼
