About This Camera
This is a multi-camera live feed from a wild African waterhole, switching between angles to follow whatever is happening on the ground. Depending on the location and time of day you may see elephant herds, giraffe splaying their legs to drink, zebra and wildebeest, antelope of every size, warthog, baboons, and the predators that shadow them — lion, leopard, hyena, and wild dog. A waterhole in the dry season is the single best window into the whole ecosystem at once.
African wildlife concentrates on water, so the busiest, most dramatic viewing is in the dry winter months and during the daily heat, plus the cool hours at dawn and dusk. Most of these feeds run on Central or South African time, well ahead of Hawaii, so the African day falls across the Hawaiian afternoon and night. Patience pays off — the waterhole can sit empty and then fill with a hundred animals within minutes.
These collaborative wildlife cameras have built a global community of viewers who log rare sightings, track individual animals, and even help researchers. Beyond the marquee mammals, watch for hornbills, vultures, storks, and the hundreds of bird species that share the water. It's the closest thing to sitting in a safari hide from your living room.
