Today on Earth
One frame pulled from every active Port of Cam at the same moment, stitched into a single 19-second clip. Hawaii surf, Alaska volcanoes, national park overlooks, NOAA satellites, the sun in extreme UV — all in one breath. Updates daily at noon HST.

What's on cam right now
AI-captioned snapshots from the cams in today's stitch (refreshed when visitors land on each cam page).
How it's made
- 1. At noon HST a single script pings every active cam — HLS streams via local mediamtx, JPG cams via the byte-streaming proxy, satellite imagery direct from NOAA.
- 2. Each frame is normalized to 1080×608 (16:9) with letterbox padding so satellite squares and landscape cams sit comfortably in the same clip.
- 3. ffmpeg stitches them at 4 fps with the Port of Cams logo overlay and a date watermark.
- 4. The clip is published here, the homepage hero, and Port of Cams' YouTube Shorts / IG Reels accounts.
