Why GCs Use It

Your Project Story, Captured Forever

Client Confidence

Send your client a 60-second timelapse showing two weeks of progress. They stop calling. They start referring. Documentation sells.

Dispute Protection

When a subcontractor claims they installed something before they did, you have the footage. Timestamped, continuous, irrefutable.

Progress Reporting Made Easy

Weekly owner reports used to take hours. Now you attach the timelapse. Done in 30 seconds.

Marketing Gold

A finished project timelapse is the best content a GC can post. 30 seconds showing 18 months of work. Clients want to work with people like that.

After-Hours Monitoring

Know if anyone was on-site after hours. Review site conditions the morning after a storm. All without leaving your office.

Works With Your Camera

No proprietary hardware. No $5,000 "smart" camera systems. Hikvision, Reolink, Dahua, Axis — if it has an RTSP stream, CamDrop captures it.

FAQ

What cameras work with CamDrop? ▼
Any IP camera with an RTSP or HTTP snapshot URL. Hikvision, Reolink, Dahua, Axis, Amcrest, Uniview, and most others. If you're not sure, contact us and we'll confirm.
Do I need to install any software? ▼
No. CamDrop is fully cloud-based. You enter your camera's stream URL in the dashboard, and we handle everything — frame capture, processing, timelapse encoding, and delivery.
What internet speed do I need on-site? ▼
CamDrop only needs to pull a JPEG snapshot every few minutes — about 1-2 Mbps upload is plenty. If you have enough bandwidth to load a web page, you're good.
How long does a timelapse run? ▼
Typical construction timelapses run 30–120 seconds and represent days, weeks, or months of footage depending on your capture interval. We optimize the speed for the most watchable result.
Can I share timelapses with my clients? ▼
Yes. Every timelapse gets a shareable link. Pro plan includes white-label sharing where your client sees your logo, not ours.
What if my camera goes offline? ▼
CamDrop detects gaps and notes them in the timelapse. You'll also get an alert email if a camera is offline for more than 30 minutes.
