Live east-facing aurora camera from Smørpundfjellet above Nordkjosbotn, at the head of Balsfjord about an hour south-east of Tromsø. Inland from the coast, so it often stays clearer than Tromsø itself. Kp 1–2 is usually enough at 69°N.
Heading to Smørpundfjellet, Nordkjosbotn, Northern Norway? See the weather, the light and how busy it is for yourself before you go — this is the view right now, not a photo from a brochure.
